Meet the reviewer
This site is a small, independent guide to a single game: Huff N' Puff CollectR 2 by ELK Studios. We built it because new slots tend to be covered in a rush, with numbers copied from one page to the next before anyone has played the game. We would rather be slower and right.
Why one game?
Focusing on a single title gives us time to play the demo properly, check every figure and keep the page current through the release and beyond. When something changes – a new RTP version, a tweak to a feature, a different UK rule – there is exactly one page to update, and we update it.
How we check the facts
A figure only appears here if we can confirm it in at least two places. For Huff N' Puff CollectR 2 our sources are ELK Studios' own game page, the game data published by OLBG and slotcatalog, and the Gambling Commission for UK rules. Where sources disagree – the starting grid size is one example – we say so rather than picking the most exciting number. Where only one source has a figure, we leave it out.
How we play
Every review starts with several sessions in the demo, usually a few hundred spins in total. We are less interested in the biggest win than in how the game behaves over time: how often features land, how long the quiet spells last and how clearly the paytable explains what is going on.
How the score works
Our score out of ten weighs four things: how understandable the rules are, how fair the default RTP is compared with similar games, how varied the base game and bonus feel, and how openly the studio documents the game. Artwork and music count, but only a little.
Our sources in brief
- ELK Studios: the official game page with the release date, the 10,000x maximum win and the feature descriptions.
- OLBG: game data on RTP versions, volatility and UK stake limits.
- slotcatalog: a second, independent record of the RTP range, volatility and release date.
- Gambling Commission: the public register of licensed operators and the rules on stakes and game design.
What we will not do
We do not invent hit rates, sell strategies or publish licence numbers we cannot verify. We are not a casino, we do not take bets and we have no influence over the game's results.
How the site is funded
Buttons marked ‘Play for real money’ are partner links. If you sign up with a casino through one of them, we may receive a commission. That does not affect our verdict, which is written before any partner is chosen, and it never changes the terms you are offered. The demo itself is free and carries no advertising.
Spotted a mistake?
Tell us. We read every message, correct errors openly and note significant changes with a new date at the top of the review.

Before that she spent several years subediting a regional newspaper, which left her with a lasting habit of checking every number twice. She is most at home with cluster, collector and grid-based games, and she pays close attention to how UK rules on stakes and game speed change the way slots feel. At this guide she writes the reviews, checks the facts and keeps the pages up to date.
